Spring has sprung!

Hooray!

Spring is here - we did it!  We can all expect fairer weather and hopefully a dip in student anxiety as the ISATs are over and school routines will resume.  A couple things to expect as the year begins to come to its culmination this spring... expectations will increase, homework will become more consistently assigned and independence within the classroom and with attaining assistance will be more and more expected.  We are officially preparing our third graders to become fourth graders - so exciting!  They have been working on transitioning to this building and have been doing a great job.  Now it's time for them to become confident in their skills and abilities and try more things on their own!  We are always here to help and teaching the students when to get help and how will now be a focus.  We want them to try first and use the resources given, but know that when those have been exhausted we can always appropriately be sought out for additional help.  It is an exciting time for both the students and us as their teachers to get them ready for their next chapter!  It was so nice to chat with so many parents during conference week, but as always - my door and e-mail inbox is open to any and all questions, concerns, or raves! :)
