What's in the Forsman Future?

We have started an exciting new model at Prairieview.  I will be co-teaching math with Miss Millbrandt and reading with Miss Pellin and Miss Stetka.  This means that I will be in the classrooms more to assist the students and will then also get to work with small groups of students on reteaching concepts and mini lessons as well!  I am very excited about this opportunity and look forward to meeting the needs of all of your students!  

Spelling

We will be working with List # 4 next week.  I am so proud of the students who are using the "tapping words out" strategy that I taught them this year.  The test scores already have been so great.  Those on a modified list will see the number of words on each list increase as the students continue to receive one or less wrong on the final test.  The ultimate goal is for passing scores on the full 20 words each week!  We can get there!

Reading
Please continue to work on the 20 minutes a night of reading as the month of September is just about halfway over already!  I cannot believe it!

Math
We will be testing this coming Thursday and will spend much of next week reviewing and preparing for the upcoming assessment.

Note:  We will be reviewing data soon as a team and coming up with our RTI math and reading schedules very soon.  If this effects your student you will be notified of any changes! :)
